1. Who We Are

Aura ("we," "us," "our") operates the Aura mobile application ("the App"). For questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at 1staura@aura-judge.com.

2. Information We Collect

When you use Aura, we collect the following:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (if shared) and an obfuscated email address from Apple. You also choose a username.
• User Content: Text you submit for AI judgment, photos you upload, and your friend connections.
• Device Information: Device identifiers and push notification tokens, used to enable app functionality.
• Usage Information: How you interact with the App, including which features you use and when you submit content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide core functionality (sign-in, AI judgment, friend connections, content sharing)
• Process content through our AI service to generate verdicts and aura point scores
• Display your content to you and your accepted friends
• Moderate uploaded photos for prohibited content
• Send service-related notifications (e.g., friend requests)
• Improve the App and develop new features

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Aura:

• Supabase hosts our database and photo storage. Data is stored in the United States.
• Apple provides authentication via Sign In with Apple.
• Anthropic processes user-submitted text and images via the Claude AI API to generate judgments and verify content safety.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we recommend reviewing them.

5. Photo Moderation

Photos uploaded to Aura are automatically scanned by Anthropic's Claude AI to detect prohibited content, including nudity, graphic violence, content involving minors, and other material that violates our Terms. Photos that fail moderation are rejected and never stored on our servers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, entries, photos, and friend connections within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your information through the App's profile and feed
• Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account
• Block other users, which removes their content from your view
• Report content or users you believe violate our Terms

8. Children's Privacy

Aura is intended for users 17 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. If you believe a child under 17 has provided us information, please contact 1staura@aura-judge.com and we will delete that information.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including row-level security on all database tables, encrypted authentication, and private storage for user photos with signed URLs. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Users

Aura operates from the United States, and all data is stored in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of Aura after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
